Trigona Propolis Extract 20ml
An alcohol based propolis extract, taken by mouth.
Alcohol draws more of the resin compounds out of raw propolis than oil does, which makes this the stronger of our two propolis formats. Take it in water, or under the tongue if you don't mind the taste.
Choose this one to take internally. Choose the Trigona Propolis Oil if you want something for skin, or if you would rather avoid alcohol.

Propolis is the resin our stingless Trigona bees collect from trees and plants to protect the hive from microbes and pests. It is one of nature's oldest forms of immune support, and naturally high in antioxidants.
Trigona propolis has shown up to three times the antioxidant activity of Brazilian propolis. Ours comes from selected farms in the Philippines and is extracted the traditional tincture way, in alcohol, without heat or chemicals. It carries bioflavonoids, Artepillin C, enzymes, vitamins, minerals and organic acids, plus a little bee pollen.
- Supports everyday immune health and recovery after illness
- Contains bioflavonoids, Artepillin C, enzymes and organic acids
- Extracted without heat, so nothing is cooked out of it
- No artificial additives or preservatives
People who prefer food based supplements to tablets. Families wanting regular immune support through the year, and anyone getting back on their feet after being unwell. It can also go on mouth ulcers.
Ingredients: Trigona propolis extract. Net volume 20ml.
Contains a low level of alcohol. Contains pollen. Suitable from one year old. Propolis is a known contact allergen, so if you react to bee products, start with a smaller dose. Speak to your doctor first if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or taking medication.
How stingless bee propolis differs from the Brazilian propolis most research has used is covered in Benefits of Propolis.
Shake well. For general maintenance, take one to two droppersful twice a week, straight on the tongue or mixed into water, juice or a smoothie. It also works stirred into a water bottle and sipped across the day.
When you are feeling unwell, take one dropperful twice a day.
Children between one and three should take half that amount. Add honey for sweetness. Keep refrigerated.
Why does it contain alcohol?
Alcohol pulls the active compounds out of raw propolis resin. It is the standard tincture method. Our Propolis Oil uses olive oil instead if you need an alcohol free option.
What does it taste like?
Strong, resinous and slightly bitter. Most people mix it into juice.
Can I take it with honey?
Yes, and many people do.
