No-Mould Leather Cleaner

$15.60

A gentle water based cleaner for finished leather, made for a climate that ruins things.

Singapore sits at around 80% humidity all year. Leather care made for Europe or America assumes 40 to 60%, and it shows. Household cleaners, alcohol and vinegar strip the natural oils out of leather and leave the surface dry, which is exactly the condition mould settles into.

This one is pH balanced to sit close to leather's own surface pH. It lifts dirt, grease, oil and water marks without drying the leather out. Formulated in Sweden.

A gentle, non abrasive cleanser for the ongoing care of finished leather. It refreshes the surface by lifting grease, grime and stains, and it won't dry your leather out the way a household cleaner would.

  • Lifts marks left by grease, oil, alcohol and water
  • Clears away the surface build up that mould feeds on
  • pH balanced, so leather stays supple after cleaning
  • Made with natural, non toxic ingredients
  • Gentle enough for regular use at home
  • Free from fragrance, phosphates and sulphates

Anyone with finished leather bags, shoes, wallets, jackets, car interiors or furniture. Take extra care with delicate leathers, and always spray onto a cloth first, never straight onto the leather.

Water based and pH balanced. Free from fragrance, phosphates and sulphates. Net volume 100ml.

Older stains may not lift completely, and some need a professional. This is built for regular maintenance, which is the part most people skip. Cleaning is the first step. Conditioning and storage are what stop mould coming back.

Not suitable for nubuck, aniline or suede. Not sure which you own? Here is how to tell.

  1. Wipe the item with a clean dry cloth to lift surface dust.
  2. Spray a little cleaner onto a soft cloth until it is slightly damp.
  3. Wipe the surface, adding more to the cloth as needed.
  4. Go over it with a dry cloth to take off excess moisture.
  5. Let it dry fully under a fan or in an air conditioned room.
  6. Follow with Leather Care to nourish and protect.

Test on a hidden spot first. Slight darkening while cleaning is normal and lifts as it dries. If you overapply, blot quickly with a dry cloth and let it air dry.

Will it remove marks that have been there for years?
Probably not entirely. Old stains and some stain types need a professional.

Why can't I spray it straight onto the bag?
Because you will overapply and get wet dark patches. Onto the cloth, every time.

Is the white patch on my bag mould?
It could be mould, salt or a finish problem, and each one is treated differently. Work out which you have first.

Can I use it on lambskin?
Yes, though go gentler. Lambskin is more delicate than most finished leathers.

How often should I clean?
For a bag in regular use in Singapore, roughly once a month, and always before you put something away for a while.
